“Feels like Home” is a relatable title. We love to feel at home around people that we consider our own. Our chosen family. A LionsGate Play Original, this is the third web series launched by Lionsgate Play on their platform. The series has been helmed by Sahir Raza and written by Sidhanta Mathur. In the lead roles we get to see young and new faces: Prit Kamani, Vishnu Kaushal, Anshuman Malhotra, Mihir Ahuja, Himika Bose and Inayat Sood.
Four Boys. One Home. Creating the home vali feeling in their Banchhod Niwas. The trailer introduces the four of them as: Lakshay: the Party Maniac of the House; Sameer is Ghar ka Ghalib; Avi: Ghar ka heartbreak kid; and Gandhi: Ghar ka Master Blaster and private Virat Kohli who doesn’t drink but the boys are confident they will change that.
“Feels Like Home” is a story of four boys shifting in to a new space which they name Banchhod Niwas. That sounds interesting for sure. They are in the beginning of taking full responsibility of their lives. Excited and in full enthusiasm, they plan parties for every night and having fun in the house becomes their agenda. Sooner than later, conflict between friends kicks in. The process of settling back in and making their first home a space of comfort and ease gives the series its flow. How do they confront each other and how does things go wrong between friends staying together is not a new concept. However, a script based on friendship in nonetheless never a bad idea.
“Feels Like Home” seems to be a fun ride for the youth. There is humour, love story, friendship, fights, realisations and self-work on the part of every character. Whether it will be impactful or not is an answer for the series to give.
The trailer ends with a wonderful one-liner; “Humare choti si pyaari si makaan se jo ghar vaali feeling aati hai, vo kabhi nahi badalni chahiye.”
