The frames that come on your screen in the 51 second teaser of Ray, promise the project to be gripping, diverse and an in-depth journey into different worlds.

In an ode to the auteur filmmaker Satyajit Ray, Netflix announced its newest project on Friday with a teaser.

Ray is inspired from the late director’s short stories, revolving around the theme of love, lust, betrayal and truth. As per the teaser, the stories will be named Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa, Forget Me Not, Bahrupiya and Spotlight. 

Keeping up with their trend of producing anthologies, Ray will be another one in the lot. The directors on board are Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji and Vasan Bala while Niren Bhatt and Siraj Ahmed have the role of adapting these stories.

The anthology will feature a number of actors including Manoj Bajpayee, Kay Kay Menon, Gajraj Rao, Ali Fazal, Shweta Basu Prasad, Anindita Bose, Bidita Bag, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor.

With Viacom 18’s Tipping Point as the producer, Ray will be streaming on Netflix from June 25th.
