As Amazon Prime Video released the least expected trailer of “Modern Love Mumbai”, it leaves the viewers with happy tears about having to watch stories of our own city, Mumbai, while also hoping it sticks to the essence and diversity of its original series. The trailer is a weird mix of revealing too much and too less at the same time. It has moments of mystery and also tangible amounts of predictability.
What is more exciting is to see what Mumbai as a city does to these characters? And how do the protagonists consume the city in their own ways? Well, we will meet on May 13th .
With a stellar starcast bearing names like Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi , Pratik Gandhi among others; it is a pleasant surprise to witness (chef) Ranveer Brar, Meiyang Chang and Masaba Gupta pick meatier roles to act.
And while love transcends boundaries, age, race and gender in this anthology series, as a viewer I cannot wait to see what more things can these set of talented directors(who are even better storytellers) bring to the table.
