After Sacred Games being a success, this is the next one in line for the Indian Originals, looks promising, from the people who brought to us Insidious, Get Out and Udta Punjab. In the first glimpse of Netflix India Original’s Ghoul, we get a great view of what the mini series is going to comprise of – being, a great perspective to horror, brilliant performances by Radhika Apte, Manav Kaul, Mahesh Balraj, Rohit Pathak and others, combined with the beautiful production of Netflix.
Ghoul is set to be a mini series and supposedly India’s first ever authentic horror. We’ve been through Bollywood’s attempt at horror with CGI and make up that have more or less made us less terrified of the demons. This particular show although looks promising from the look of the trailer.
From the trailer, we get to decipher the storyline as one that comes from betrayal. Radhika Apte is an officer in the military who helps the authorities capture her own father; this is praised to be as a brave move on the country’s behalf.
We do not know why the father has been arrested or what leads him out of the play but the tables turn when a prisoner at a remote interrogation centre seems to know their shameful secrets and gets on them in turn.
He is may be captured; and it might all come down to Radhika’s character to save her and other’s lives, or might not.
The show airs in September and we are more than excited for it and grip the edges of our seats for the suspense to be revealed.
