Tadap will mark Suniel Shetty’s son, Ahan Shetty’s debut wherein he plays Ishana. Cast opposite him is Tara Sutaria as Ramisa. The film’s a love story that ticks all the other genres too, action, drama, a slight gag here and there.

As the trailer begins, Ishana holds a guy’s face against the hot silencer of his motorbike searing him like a mutton chop, confronts a policeman with violence and speeds through the hills which look like that of Dharmshala/Ooty/Shimla i.e., any hill station. He’s a bad guy with a hard shell. Somewhere midway in the trailer Tara Sutaria’s voice kicks in the background, wanting to crack open this hard coconut of a guy to know who he really is and what he really feels. And that’s the cue where they soon fall head over heels in love against families’ opinions. Now, as the trailer edges towards ultimatum, some ill-fate has befallen Ramisa that forces Ishana to turn a villain. He says, “Mohabbat mazhab ho gayi hai mere liye. Haath jodu ya uthau, farak nahi padta.” And that is precisely the entire story as the trailer ends. A good boy gone rogue for his girl.

Amitabh Bachchan presented the trailer and tweeted: “Ahan .. we saw you grow up .. and today it’s a huge pleasure and honour to introduce you to the World of cinema, through your maiden effort ‘Tadap’ .. all the blessings and good wishes.”

The film, directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Fox Star Studios and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Production. Tadap is a Hindi remake of Ajay Bhupathi’s 2018 Telugu film RX 100, which featured Kartikeya Gummakonda and Payal Rajput as the lead actors. The remake will release on December 3 this year.

Tadap is scheduled for a release on 3rd December 2021.
