Having served their fans with decades worth of songs and memories, The Beatles have been an iconic band since the 60’s. Three time Oscar winner, Peter Jackson, is now back with a docuseries on the legendary musical group. This three part documentary takes the audience through raw footage of the lives of the band that revolutionised music. The trailer gives us glimpses into the younger versions of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison.

The trailer begins with footage from 1969 when a film crew was given permission to film The Beatles when they had three weeks to prepare and record a new album and perform in front of a live audience. This footage had been kept hidden in a vault all these years, it is finally out for all to see!

In under 4 minutes, we are taken on a journey of love, friendship, joy, music and the stress of creating a new album from scratch. The docuseries is set to showcase the creative process of the band, their communication and the task of composing 14 brand new songs. With around 60 hours of unseen footage of The Beatles, we see them attempting to meet a nearly impossible deadline. The trailer also shows the exit of George Harrison and the band cancelling their show.

Listening to the band play songs from their final two albums – Abbey Road and Let It Be – is going to be a major pull for the fans. In the trailer, Paul McCartney mentions how they all worked the best when their backs were up against the wall. A seemingly intimate presentation of their genius and a desire to constantly push against society is quite apparent from the trailer.

‘The Beatles: Get Back’ is set to release from 25-27th November, one part per day, on Disney+ Hotstar.
