Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan are retired consters who now live in a small town as a small family. Rakesh(Saif) has put up quite a few kilos and Babli (Rani) moves around with rollers in her hair to keep the fashion quotient up as they quietly go around their lives. But there’s soon a disruption.

There’s news of new consters in town, played by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh, who are making waves under the aliases of Bunty and Babli. They change clothes, wigs, accents and ethnicities as they rob people tricking them into scams.

Naturally, this doesn’t go well with the original Bunty and Babli(Saif & Rani). So ensues a story of picking up the old guns against the new ones, as consters try to con each other. For Safi and Rani, it is to redeem what is rightfully theirs, their “brand”, Bunty and Babli. And for the imposters it’s a challenge to not be outclassed by the legends.

It is safe to say, the film which is a sequel to the 2005 hit of the same name, won’t suffer from a Pankaj Tripathi deficiency as he plays a shrewd cop set to catch the new criminals on the block.

Talking about the film, Saif said, “Films on con jobs have historically had great disguises and that’s half the fun. Nowadays we have prosthetics and makeup of a totally different level so people can expect really amazing get-ups and disguises from the cast and doing all that was a lot of fun.”

Bunty Aur Babli 2 is set to release worldwide on November 19. Bunty Aur Babli 2 has been directed by Varun V Sharma, who worked as an Assistant Director in Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
