In the upcoming film Jogira Sara Ra Ra, Nawazuddin plays Jogi, a jugaadu wedding planner who is street-smart, super affordable and takes pride in serving all his clients’ interests. If your wedding budget is at 100, he’ll do it in 90, save 10, split it two ways, save 5 for you and 5 for himself. He leads a carefree, fun life, stern about not ever getting married himself. But rest assured by the end of this film things will have changed.
He’s soon approached by Dimple who has similar views on marriage (Neha Sharma) and asks Jogi to sabotage her arranged bond and help her shoo the fiance away. Jogi comes on board, one thing leads to another and soon Dimple has plotted her own kidnapping. That works as well, with the fiance calling off the marriage, but now Jogi is put on the pedestal, held at gun-point and asked to marry Dimple. What unfolds after that can be predicted for they will find a match in each other, coming a long way from their initial perspectives on the institution of marriage.
The one-liners, as well as the one-breath, lengthy ones, delivered with that typical Nawaz flare are certainly the highlight of the trailer. With a dance number thrown into the mix and the comedic exchanges between off-beat characters, they all add to the promise of an entertaining film with Jogira Sara Ra Ra.
Directed by Kushan Nandy, the film also stars Sanjay Mishra and Mahaakshay Chakraborty. Jogira Sara Ra Ra releases in theatres on May 12.
